Sitting and feeding.

.....they seem to be doing quite well!

 Eating on their own, as well.

Dad of the younger set, all fluffed up on the nest.

 The nest uncovered for a little while.

doing the courting thing again.

 The younger pair, moving around more.

 Graduating to sitting in the feed dish.

The older pair staying close to Dad on the nest.

The Dads are sitting and the older babies keep close by.
 The older pair - 
one or both of them like to keep close to Dad 
while he is sitting on the nest.

 Yep!  
Just has to keep hanging around.

 They still stay very close together.

DAY 21    MAY 1  2011
A second egg, sitting on the nest and feeding at the same time.
 Double duty!

The older pair of babies; 
Dad is sitting on the nest and the babies are after him to be fed.


After being fed, the baby and the Dad.

The second pair of doves; a second egg has been laid.

Two together, all cozy.

Earlier in the day - the same Dad, next to the younger pair.

Looking quite bright.

Also moving around more.

DAY 20   April 30   2011
The second pair of doves lays the first egg 
(the younger babies' parents).
The mother of the first pair of young, sitting on the nest. 
Day 3 of incubation

The mother of the younger pair has laid the first egg today. 

She is trying to bring a stem of hay to the nest.

The stem is long and quite stiff and hard to manage.

The Dad sees her working and comes to take over the job.

He carries it to the nest.

He works it into place.....

.....and settles himself on the egg.....

.....the mother comes to help out.....

.....cooperation.....
