DAY 19    APRIL 29   2011
Mom is still bossy, and one baby is perching.
The Mom of the younger pair is starting to work on a new nest.
 9:30 am.
Dad is sitting peacefully doing what he ought.

Guess who's coming to give Dad the old heave-ho!
(See yesterday's post.)

 The older pair.
They are really filling up the feed dish now!

 2:30 pm.
The older of the pair is getting very adventurous,
and has made it up on the perch beside his mother.

The feet become quite red in a mature bird.
You can see the difference in the beaks,
between the mother and the younger bird.

The younger pair - filling out.

This is the mother of the younger pair,
already beginning a new nest,
only 14 days after the first baby hatched.

There she is on the new nest.
She doesn't stay on it very long at a time,
but she will be back to it during the day.
As well, the father will do the same,
to build it and get it ready for the new eggs.
