DAY 8 APRIL 18 2011
Heavy breathing and more feathers.
The younger pair
Dad still keeps them warm.
They need lots of sleep because they are growing so fast.
They can see more now.
They are still breathing very fast.
It is more difficult to see the ear now.
You can look back to DAY 6 and DAY 7,
to see the ear quite clearly.

did the have two different clutches ? cause i see it says the younger pair then it says the other pair. do they sit on both clutches ? or are the two different pair of parents?
ReplyDeleteHi Chris,
DeleteThere are two pairs of doves (parents) and each pair had two young, hatched a few days apart, making four baby birds. (It is a bit confusing, I know!)
In this post, the first photo is of the younger clutch, and the rest of the photos are of the older clutch.
Each pair of doves is in its own cage section, and cannot get to the other pair.
The cages sections are one above the other.
I hope that makes it clearer!
Louise
